All Ontario universities have agreed to adhere to a published list of processing dates, which you will find summarized in the “Timelines” section. The timing of offers of admission will vary by university. Some universities issue conditional offers of admission as early as March or April and others may wait until June. Each university publishes admission requirements for all programs. All are committed to the principles of fairness and equity in their selection processes. The Admission Guidelines and Programs of Study section provides a summary of each university’s admission requirements and a Programs of Study chart for each university. Each university’s chart begins with a text section titled “Basis and Timing of Offers of Admission”. This section provides a general overview of admission information at that university. It is important that you read this section carefully: it includes information that applies to all programs at that university, such as: • when and how admission decisions will be made; Following the summary section is a chart that outlines the university’s programs and their academic requirements. The first column lists the program name, the faculty and the OUAC program code (as required for the OUAC application). The second, third and fourth columns list related figures as of June 2006 and are intended as guidelines only. The fifth column lists the courses required for admission to a program or faculty. To find prerequisites for concentrations within these programs, consult the appropriate university calendar, admissions handbook, or Admissions or Liaison Office. The last column of the chart outlines the alternate offers for each program, if applicable. Certain programs evaluate criteria beyond grades for admission; please refer to the Additional Admission Criteria section in this magazine for that information. You can also find all this information on eINFO at www.electronicinfo.ca. This website allows you to search for the university programs that interest you most. You can browse by program of study, by university name or by the degree earned. All the information from the charts in INFO magazine is available on eINFO in a searchable format. Please note that the “Programs of Study” charts summarize first-year program offerings at each university; they do not contain full course descriptions or details. For complete admission guidelines, or if you have any questions, contact the university directly or visit their website. Contact information is provided at the back of this magazine.
